Successfully fulfill the requirements below to unlock the corresponding character for Free Mode:

• Blaze the Cat - Complete all Soleana mystery missions
• Amy Rose - Complete all Soleana mystery missions with an "S" rank
• Rouge the Bat - Complete all GUN Commander missions
• E-123 Omega - Complete all GUN Commander missions with an "S" rank
• Miles "Tails" Prower - Complete all Town Stage missions
• Knuckles the Echidna - Complete all Town Stage missions with an "S" rank

Unlockable: Free Mode

To unlock Free Mode, beat all of the Episodes amd Town Missions with an S Rank.

Hint: Crystal Functions

Crystals are found at the shop, here is what they do:

• Dark Blue - Speed
• Red - Slow down time
• Green - Make a tornado
• Purple - Shrink yourself and multi jump
• Light Blue - Make a mega jump wearever you want
• White - control the direction of your homing attack
• Yellow - attract rings

Unlockable: Silver the Hedgehog

To play as Silver the Hedgehog, you must beat him in story mode using Sonic.

Unlockable: Shadow The Hedgehog

Finish Crisis City with Sonic.
