E3 2008: Dead Space Closer Than We Thought

At its E3 press conference today, Electronic Arts announced it is moving up the release date for Dead Space from Halloween of this year, October 31, to October 21. That means we'll be getting our hands on this horror shooter more than a week earlier than we thought.

Dead Space mixes survival horror and third-person shooting -- in space. Loads of disgusting enemies need to be exploded aboard a deep space mining ship. Some sequences will take place in zero gravity.
