GOONL!NE ran a rumor piece over the weekend which suggests that Rocksteady Games might well be hard at work on a sequel to this year's excellent Batman: Arkham Asylum. The tantalizing quote from Rocksteady's director on the game, Sefton Hill, comes in from the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine and reads as follows:
"I'm not really allowed to comment on that, but there are definitely lots of exciting stories to tell in Batman's world, and I can say that we're really privileged to work on it, and excited about future possibilities."
Arkham Asylum is one of this year's top ranked games and launched on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in August, with the PC release following in September.
Bryn says: This is a no-brainer in my mind. Given the massive success of Arkham Asylum, why wouldn't Rocksteady want to make another Batman game? As Hill notes in the quote, there's huge scope for new tales from the Batman universe to be told, so I reckon it's only a matter of time before we start to hear the first details about a sequel.
