SEGA Confirms Bayonetta Release Date

SEGA has confirmed the rumored release date for its upcoming stylish action game Bayonetta.

The title will ship on January 5, 2010 in North America, and three days later on January 8 in European territories for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Bayonetta's release date was revealed in a leaked document last month, meaning there is now some truth behind its contents. This could mean a North American demo will be available in late December as the notes previously suggested, though SEGA has yet to confirm it.

Bayonetta recently received high praise from Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, earning a perfect 40/40 on Xbox 360, while the PS3 version received a 38/40.
