World of Warcraft: Race Change Service Goes Live

According to the new FAQ found over on Blizzard's support site, World of Warcraft players are now able to pay $25 and change the race (not faction) of their characters. This new service applies to all characters that are over level 10 with the exception of the Death Knight class who must be a least level 60.

Q. Am I allowed to choose any race regardless of what class I play?

A. No, the new race you choose must be compatible with your current class.

Q. Can I use this service to change the character back to its original race?

A. Absolutely; however, this will require purchasing another Race Change.

Q. Will I be able to select Cataclysm races and class combinations for a character once they're available in game?

A. Details are not available at this time. As development continues, though, we hope to provide more information.

Another faction service also exists which allows Alliance characters to swap over to the Horde faction and vice versa. This service is already live.
