Players Experiencing Halo 3: ODST Disc Errors

Microsoft looking for a solution, says it's not widespread.

Since its release last week, a growing number of players have started experiencing disc read errors while attempting to play Bungie's latest game, Halo 3: ODST.

According to a thread on the website's official forums, players have been met with disc read errors upon trying to load the game on their Xbox 360, saying the disc itself is unreadable.

It's unclear at the moment what is causing the issue. Some suggest this is a problem with older Xbox 360 console models, while others say it's a problem with the disc itself. Bungie is currently asking those experiencing disc read errors to give feedback on its forums.

Microsoft has recognized this is indeed issue, but says it's not widespread.

"We are aware of a very small number of people who are reporting they can't play the game," a Microsoft representative told IGN. "We are looking into it but at this point it doesn't appear to be a widespread issue."
