Spore Galactic Adventures: 100,000 User Created Adventures Made

EA's Maxis studio reports over 100,000 user created missions have been uploaded in one month.

Spore Galactic Adventures launched a little over a month ago and according to a press release sent out by EA, community users have already uploaded over 100,000 user created missions.

This expansion to 2008's Spore adds in an Adventure Creator mode which allows players to craft their own missions and share them online through Spore's sporepedia.

Expanding on the original Spore game, the Spore Galactic Adventures expansion pack gets your creature out of its spaceship and exploring colorful and wacky new planets. Players can turn their creatures into space captains, battle epic monsters in intergalactic arenas and engage in intense planet-side races.

In each mission, players earn experience to rank up their captain and earn game-changing items such as the Plasma Pulser and Swarm Magnet. In addition to the adventures in the box, players can download 10 all-new adventures created by the writers of the outrageously funny, pop-culture parody TV show, Robot Chicken.

Some of the more imaginative user created missions are called "The Silent Beacon," "Valley of a Thousand Deaths" along with "The Fog."

Bryn says: I'm afraid I'm one of those gamers that was left dead-cold by Spore last year. It simply lost its charm after a couple of hours of gameplay, so I don't really know if Spore Galactic Adventures' user created missions would do anything to bring me back for another try.

Enlighten me as to why I should or shouldn't bother giving it another shot.
