DLC for Mortal Kombat vs. D.C. We'll Never See

Midway's recent financial collapse just continues to leave its mark.

It appears the company had downloadable plans for Mortal Kombat vs. D.C. Universe, but because of the recent bankruptcy filing and subsequent takeover by Warner Bros., the content had to get the axe.

A render for what sorcerer Quan Chi would have looked like in the game (seen below) was posted on Ed Boon's personal twitter account. Boon wrote saying "Excited about MK9 and WB, but wish we could have released DLC for MKvsDC." Perhaps this means we'll see DLC for Mortal Kombat 9?
