Earlier this week Eurogamer met with Valve to talk about the upcoming zombie shooter sequel,
"Our pre-orders are currently double what they were for Left 4 Dead 1 at this point in time away from launch," said Valve marketeer Doug Lombardi. "We're like 20 weeks out or something like that.""We're seeing great enthusiasm from retailers," he added, "from EA, [and] the press called it multiplayer game of E3."
After Left 4 Dead 2 was announced at this year's E3, fans of the first game
Bryn says: Of course there's more knowledge of the series than before so the success of the first game will be driving a wider interest than we saw last year. But still, even though the petition reached reasonably large numbers, the vast majority of Left 4 Dead players won't give a monkeys about a sequel arriving "too soon."
Personally, I'll welcome another L4D game with an open, gaping maw.
