Firaxis Surprises With Civ 4 Patch

It's been two years since Firaxis and 2K released Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword, and nine months since Firaxis released a patch for the expansion. That explains how Firaxis caught fans off guard on Wednesday with the release of a significant update for Beyond the Sword, addressing and tweaking dozens of items and apparently eliminating the CD check when starting the game. That would be welcome news, since that would eliminate the need to fish out the disc every time you wanted to play.
