The Sims 3 Goes Gold

Latest chapter in franchise to hit store shelves in early June.

Brush up your Simlish – The EA Sims studio just announced that the Sims 3, the latest chapter in the popular franchise, has gone gold for PC and Mac and will be on store shelves as well as via online digital distribution on June 2 for $49.99. Additionally, players will have the option to pick up The Sims 3 Collector's Edition, which will be available at select retailers for $69.99. The Collector's Edition will include the full game, a collectable 2GB The Sims Plumbob USB drive, a strategy guide and in-game European-styled sports car for your Sims to use.

Players will have more options that before to create and manipulate your sims, choosing their appearance and up to five traits to define their personalities. The Sims 3 will feature new goal-oriented gameplay so you can decide which short or long term tasks you want your Sims to accomplish at any time. You can also create edit and upload your own Sim movies and upload them to The Sims 3 online community. The online community will also provide players with additional free bonus content, news and other extras. Developed by The Sims Studio, The Sims 3 is rated T for Teen.
