Gears of War Franchise Continues to Sell

Since its release late last year, Epic's Gears of War 2, the sequel to its third-person action franchise started in 2006, has moved past 5 million copies sold worldwide, according to an official release. The franchise's unit sales overall has surged above 11 million copies.

Gears of War 2 was released in November of 2008 to positive reviews. You can read our review right here. The first was also very well received across a majority of outlets.
