Halo 3 Hits 10 Billion Kills

Bungie has revealed that some 10 billion Covenant have been slain in Halo 3's campaign mode, with the milestone being released 565 days after the game's release.

The impressive figure translates into 12,000 enemy troops killed every minute since the game first hit shelves in late 2007 – and if the dead covenant were laid end to end it would create a morbid chain that would circle the earth some 456 times.

Halo 3 stormed its way to a 9.5 upon review, and recently received its last helping of downloadable content with the Mythic Map Pack.
