Animal Crossing Gets AU Name Change

City Folk lives no more.

The blessed files of the OFLC have revealed a curious change for Australian Wii gamers this week. Animal Crossing: City Folk, the Wii edition of the massively popular communication and collecting game, is no more. Instead, it has been renamed for Australian owners, likely to fall in line with a European direct translation, as was the case with Wario Land: The Shake Dimension.

Instead of the pleasant and concise 'City Folk' moniker, gamers should instead keep their eyes peeled for 'Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City' when the game releases on our shores later this year.

The game has been classified G, with a warning that the gaming experience may change online. An Australian release date is forthcoming.
