Warren Ellis Contributes to Dead Space

Famed comic writer involved in EA's game.

Warren Ellis, the UK-based comic writer most famed for his Transmetropolitan series, has revealed that he contributed to Dead Space, the forthcoming survival horror game from EA.

"I got released from an NDA the other day, so I can finally say that I wrote a bunch of the groundwork, backstory and structure on the forthcoming EA videogame Dead Space," said Ellis in his mailing list, subscribed to by RockPaperShotgun, "I believe there was at least one other writer on the project, but I'm sure there's some of me in there somewhere."

With a series of prequel comics from 30 Days of Night artist Ben Templesmith already in circulation, the comic ties already run deep with Dead Space. Ellis himself is no stranger to working with videogames, having previously been on scribe duties for both Hostile Waters and Cold Winter.

Dead Space is due out this October, and you can find out more by perusing our latest preview.
