Free Mass Effect DLC is Live

Bring Down the Sky to your PC now.

Bioware has released Bring Down the Sky, the free downloadable content for its Mass Effect role-playing game. Bring Down the Sky is the first in a series of planned downloadable content for Mass Effect and will expand the story and universe of the game. While the content was released on the Xbox 360 back in March, Xbox 360 owners had to pay 400 MS points (US$5) for it. Even though Bring Down the Sky was originally supposed to come out during the launch of the PC version of Mass Effect, PC owners have had to wait until now.

But gamers will not have to wait any longer, because players can now explore a new uncharted world that introduces the Batarian, a new deadly alien race. Gamers will take control of Commander Shepard to prevent the Batarians from launching an asteroid at millions of innocent civilians. The gameplay will add approximately 90 minutes of new gameplay to the campaign. In addition to a new epic quest, Bring Down the Sky features an original soundtrack.
