Guitar Hero III gets the Blizzard Treatment

As a precursor to this weekend's Blizzard Worldwide International event in Paris – which is already creating a little stir of its own – Activision has announced a World of Warcraft themed track will be free to download for Guitar Hero III this weekend.

It's one of the first tangible fruits of the new relationship between Activision and Blizzard, the song being the light-hearted homage to World of Warcraft's fish race 'I am Murloc' that first aired at 2005's Blizzcon in California. Is it the first of a number of crossovers for the two series?

The track's out for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and is available from June 26. Or tomorrow, if you're reading this today.
