The Fuel of War Still Burns

THQ announced today that the first of five free downloadable maps is available on Xbox Live. The map is called Boneyard and pits Western Coalition forces against the waning Red Star army. The battle takes place in the last functional Red Star nuclear facility and the Coalition is assembling fleets of armor to take the installation down. Players can join up in 50-player battles and will be able to make use of new weaponry including the automatic shotgun, rocket jeep and Red Star transport helicopter.

We're waiting for confirmation from THQ as to whether the rest of the maps will be free or if the new weapons are exclusive to Boneyard with more to come later, or if they'll be interspersed throughout the remaining four maps. We'll have an update as soon as we hear back.
