Quake Wars Dated in EU

We've known for sometime that it's imminent, but Activision has finally pinned down a solid release date for the console versions of last year's epic shooter Quake Wars: Enemy Territory, due to hit both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 30.

If you're feeling particularly lazy this morning, you may want to think of the game as the mutant offspring of Quake and Battlefield, but if you can be bothered to put the effort in head over to our review of the PC original to get the full skinny. It's going to join a growing legion of games vying for people's attention on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live, but with its heritage it could well pry the masses away from the likes of Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3.

Keep your eyes firmly attached to this site, and you may well see a review of the console versions at some point in the near future.
