New Arenas for Unreal Tournament III

Unreally? Yes, and they're free.

Midway and Epic Games have announced earlier this morning that free downloadable maps are available for Unreal Tournament III. While the game shipped with 40 maps at the onslaught, a solid number by any stretch of the imagination, the companies are committed to delivering new content to its twitch based, futuristic, shooter.

The three arenas include: Morbias, Facing Worlds, and Searchlight. Morbias, described as "the map that started it all" is intended for a wide range of gameplay scenarios that include everything from small skirmishes to massive free-for-alls. Original Unreal Tournament players might appreciate Facing Worlds, as it was one of the game's premier sniper levels. Finally Searchlight is the new capture the flag arena that is designed for rooftop battles or strategic indoor shootouts.

PC gamers can download the update at the game's official website, www.unrealtournament3.com. while PS3 owners must download it off the Playstation Network.

Now let the fragging commence!
