Netflix, one of the largest online DVD rental companies, is reported to be looking into the possibility of expanding its service on to the Xbox 360.
Having recently surveyed its customers to gauge their interest in any future streaming service on Microsoft's console, Netflix spokesperson Steve Swasey confirmed to Reuters that the company was looking to provide movies "in as many ways as possible."
Following the earlier demise this year of Toshiba's HD DVD technology that Microsoft had previously aligned itself to, the company had asserted that it would be looking to the download space as opposed to looking to integrate Sony's Blu-ray technology into its Xbox 360, and any potential partnership with such a major force in distribution would be a massive boon for its burgeoning service.
