Call of Duty 4 Tops NPD Charts

January NPD sales numbers place Call of Duty 4 at the top of the pack. The 360 version of COD 4 was the only game in January to sell more than 300,000 copies. The next closest Xbox 360 title was Rock Band, which sold just over half the number of units as COD 4.

Call of Duty's continued sales success explains how it has managed to top Halo 3 as the most-played Xbox Live title for the past few weeks. Halo 3, which came out in September of last year, sold a third as many copies as COD 4.
