Free Trial for SOCOM 3 Map Pack

For the next two weeks, PlayStation 2 owners with an internet connection will be able to download Sony's SOCOM 3 Map Pack #1 for free. Included in the download are three 16-player maps titled After Hours, Liberation, and Last Bastion. After Hours is an urban map based on Seoul, Korea. Liberation depicts a North African seaside city, and Last Bastion takes place in the ruins of a castle in Albania. These maps were originally available as SOCOM II HDD levels. After July 11 you'll have to purchase the map pack for $5.99 if you want to keep playing them. The free two-week trial begins today, June 27.
