Authentic Jeeps in Medal of Honor Airborne

Electronic Arts signs a deal to include the classic 4-wheeler in its upcoming FPS.

Some will think of it as just another form of in-game advertising. Electronic Arts calls it "reinforcing authenticity". The publishing juggernaut has inked an agreement with the Jeep brand to feature the Willys-Overland Jeep in their upcoming World War II first-person shooter, Medal of Honor Airborne. An official announcement from EA says that the Jeep will "appear for extended, action-packed sequences in several missions."

The announcement confirms that the jeep will be fully-drivable along with a collection of other as yet unannounced vehicles. Included in the release is a quote from Jay Kuhnie, Director - Jeep Communications, Chrysler Group, saying, "Video games are quickly becoming the medium of choice for a new generation of consumers and Chrysler Group has been at the forefront of this exciting revolution. By teaming with Electronic Arts and Medal of Honor Airborne, Jeep is celebrating its history while helping to take this medium to its next level."

We're a bit curious as to exactly how Chrysler has "been at the forefront" of the "gaming revolution". We're also curious to see if the appearance of authentic Jeep vehicles in MOHA has any effect on sales for Jeep and Jeep-branded products.
