World in Conflict Delays Mission

Xbox 360 gamers won't see the Sierra RTS this year.

The Xbox 360 version of the real-time strategy game World in Conflict has been pushed back to 2008, publisher Sierra announced today.

Originally scheduled for a Nov. 13 release, the Cold War-themed RTS's release is now more shadowy than a KGB agent's past.

The PC version of the game, developed by Sierra's Swordfish Studios and Massive Entertainment, was released on Sept. 18 in the U.S. and Sept. 25 in Europe.

Created by Cold War expert Larry Bond, World in Conflict begins in 1989 as the Soviets, fearing certain collapse, advance into Europe. NATO responds in force only to be met on a second front - a full-fledged invasion of the American homeland.
