skate Grinds onto Marketplace

The demo for EA's hotly-anticipated skate, the first true challenger to Activision's Tony Hawk in the past decade, is now available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace. The 1.1 GB demo offers gamers a chance to tour the Community Center in San Vanelona for 30 minutes.

In the demo, gamers can tackle several challenges from pros, including Paul Rodriguez, Jr. However, if you don't want to do follow-the-leader tasks, you can spend the bulk of your 30 minutes freestyling around the fairly large park.

And if pure skating isn't your thing, you can mess around with the video editor. One 30 second clip can be uploaded to EA's website for the purposes of the demo. You can then view and share your video with others and even rate it. EA will begin hosting the videos later tonight.
