Sierra to Spin Web of Spiderwick Games

A game based on the book series and upcoming film The Spiderwick Chronicles is under development by Vivendi Games' Sierra division and Stormfront Studios.

The game will be released for the Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation2, DS and PC in February 2008 and will feature multiple playable characters, each with unique abilities, Sierra said.

"The Spiderwick Chronicles video game will authentically recreate the world of Jared, Simon and Mallory Grace, putting gamers in their shoes as they discover a hidden world of fantastical creatures—sprites, ogres, goblins, brownies and more," said Al Simone, senior vice president of global marketing for Sierra Entertainment.
