TimeShift Gets Release Dates

Will the game come out in the past, the present or….the future?

The upcoming time-traveling first-person shooter TimeShift will be available on Oct. 30 for PCs and the Xbox 360 and in December for the PlayStation 3.

Developed by Sabre Interactive and published by Vivendi Games' Sierra division, TimeShift has been a long time coming (we've been writing about it at IGN since August 2005).

Using the game's Beta Suit, players can manipulate time - slowing it down, rewinding it and stopping it altogether while opponents remain stuck in boring old ordinary time.

Sierra said Wednesday that gamers who pre-order the game at select U.S. retailers this week will get access to an exclusive playable character for TimeShift's multiplayer game. ''
