Assassin's Creed Film Contest

Create a six minute masterpiece about assassinations and win $10,000, plus a bunch of other stuff.

Calling all budding Spielbergs: the Independent Film Council has announced it's launching a short film contest inspired by Assassin's Creed, which will see one director bagging a $10,000 prize for their six minute masterpiece.

Entrants must include one of five themes in their works - assassination, social stealth, assassination in public, assassination of historical figures or conspiracy surrounding historical assassinations. So, basically, it's a film about getting someone killed.

One overall winner will walk away with a $10,000 prize, an Xbox 360, a copy of the game and the chance to see their film included in the limited-edition Assassin's Creed pack. The winning entry is also set to be broadcast on the Indepedent Film Council Network. Unfortunately, there's sad news for wannabe European directors: the competition is only open to North American residents. If that's you, there's more information on the competition alongside full terms and conditions on the IFC website.
