The Darkness: the Darklings go Berserk!

For this, our look at the last of the four Darklings in The Darkness, we're turning our attention to the Berserker. It's the first Darkling Jackie learns to summon and is the most adaptable of all the demons in the game. As such they have more uses than tearing the enemy to shreds and can be used to open gates and reach areas of the game that are otherwise inaccessible.

Having said that they're forte is maiming and killing Jackie's adversaries, in all manner of gruesome and indescribable ways. Having a Berserker on hand in the heat of a battle is essential if you want to come out the other side in one piece, because the little guys are happy to take a bullet for Jackie and are vicious up close.

They're resourceful too and pick up and use weapons they steal from their victims or find in the game. These include brutal melee weapons like sledgehammers and fire axes to more gruesome items like the rusty saw and machete. Still not violent enough? Then bust out the road drill and split your enemy in half. It's not all blades and bullets, however; some of the more mischievous Darklings dress up in golf gear and batter their enemies with a nine iron!
