The Darkness: Beware the Light Killer

Ever wondered what would happen if you spilt water on a Darkling? We have, but that's probably because we have too much spare time on our hands. But the reasoning behind our wandering thoughts is because the dark demons from Take-2's next-gen shooter have a lot in common with Gremlins: they both relish in causing absolute chaos and they share an unequivocal fear of daylight.

It's no surprise, either - if one of Jackie Estacado's evil minions steps into the light, its dark power is immediately sapped. The longer it stays out of the safety of the shadows the weaker it becomes, until it's eventually cast back into the depths from which it came. The same applies to Jackie himself - his super-human powers temporarily drain if he moves out of the darkness.

Luckily, help is on hand in the somewhat gruesome form of the Light Killer Darkling. Summoned in the same way as other Darklings, the Light Killer harnesses electricity which it can unleash at any time, firing out bolts of lightning that fry nearby lights, thus returning Jackie's powers to full strength. Light Killers can use their electrifying powers to lethal effect on humans too, zapping anyone stupid enough to take them on.
