Japanese game magazine juggernaut Famitsu recently reported on its website that there have now been over 10 million Diamond and Pearl Pok¿mon trades between Japan and North America.
According to IGN AU's translator, the news piece reads as follows:
"The spreading rings of Pok¿mon worldwide! Pok¿mon swapping counts over 10,000,000 between Japan and America.
Swapping of Pok¿mon over national borders!
Pok¿mon from the Nintendo DS software 'Pocketmonster Diamond Pearl' has reached over 10,000,000 swapping counts between Japan and America using the Wi-Fi connection's Global Trade Station (GTS)."
The news report goes on to say that over 5 million copies of the game had been sold by the 12th of June, and with the European versions set to see release, the swapping will continue to grow. Attention Aussie gamers - it's only a week until Pok¿mon Diamond and Pok¿mon Pearl are available here, so we'll be seeing you at the Trade Station soon! Thanks to the NeoGaf forums for the tip.
