Pok¿mon Diamond and Pearl Down Under

Nintendo Australia announces a release date.

Mark June 21st down in your calendars Pok¿mon freaks! That's the day that Diamond and Pearl will be available around the country. Available on DS for an RRP of $69.95, the new titles build on the compelling Pok¿mon gameplay we've known and loved since the series' first outings on Game Boy. What's new? Well, there are another 100 Pok¿mon to collect, in addition to the 386 from previous versions, but more exciting will be the game's Wi-fi functionality. Trading Pok¿mon with players from around the world is compelling enough, but up to eight players will also be able to enter the Battle Tower to see who's the best trainer. Plus, the DS' in-built microphone means that players can chat before, during and after battles. To make communication more comfortable, the Nintendo DS Headset will also go on sale on June 21st, for an RRP of $19.95.
