Curtains Raised on Theatre of War

Today 1C announced the WWII real-time strategy game Theatre of War is now available to download from www.battlefront.com. Keyboard generals have three options for obtaining the game: download for $45, mail delivery for $45 plus shipping, or download and mail delivery for $55 plus shipping.

1C is the development studio responsible for other war games such as IL-2 Sturmovik. In Theatre of War, the bond players develop with the men in their unit plays an integral part in the unit's behavior. Each of the soldiers under your responsibility has their own skills, abilities, identities, and personalities, and you'll be able to zoom into the battlefield and see for yourself what your men are thinking and feeling.

From the invasion of Poland and France in 1939 to the D-Day landings of 1944 and the fall of Germany in 1945, players take control of Allied or Axis armies. A wide range of military units is at your command, complete with authentic uniforms, weapons, vehicles, and planes that draw the player into a realistic and accurately recreated military environment of Europe from 1939-45.
