Stranglehold Live

The full E3 video demo in its entirety. Plus doves.

Midway Entertainment today gave IGN an old look at a new game, which funnily enough, isn't all that old, and yet, is new to you.

John Woo's Stranglehold, a wild, gun-heavy action game inspired by Director John Woo's firestorm of Chinese action movies, is captured in this 7:38 direct-feed video. You should see this. It's sexy. Think Max Payne gone waywire with an interactive environment crazy enough to distract PeeWee Herman.

This demo, which originally debuted at E3 and was later shown at the German Game Convention this summer, takes place in one bar room. But it enables gamers to watch the Max Payne-style action-shooter in all its interactive glory. And we mean glory. The entire level is useable, explodable, and in some way manipulate-able (not officially a word). It's fun just to watch it all happen in front of you.

Download it, oggle over it, and watch your friends' heads explode with giddiness. And please, don't try this at home. You actually can't surf down a staircase railing in Pennyloafers.
