Tony Hawk Demo Tomorrow

Activision announced today it's releasing a free downloadable and playable Tony Hawk Project 8 demo on Xbox Live Marketplace Friday, October 20, 2006.

The demo is set in the Concrete Park section of the game, and it features the newest move, "Nail the Trick," which on Xbox 360 requires use of the analog sticks in totally different ways than before. It offers "Filmer," a goal requiring skaters to follow a camera man around the park and complete moves he calls out, and lastly, "Spot Challenges," located in various sections of the park. Spot Challenges range from nailing a short, medium, or long manual for different points, hitting gaps, or attaining a certain amount of points for other tricks. Activision didn't say at what time the demo would hit marketplace. But we'll have a hands-on with it when it comes.

Tony Hawk Project 8 is due to ship in early to mid-November on Xbox 360, Xbox, and PS2. The PS3 version will launch day and date with the system, Friday, November 17.
