Justice League Heroes: Costumes Unlocked

October brings great excitement for the coming next-gen consoles, but it also brings us the final salvo of current-gen games. Not to be lost in the shuffle is Warner Bros. Interactive's Justice League Heroes developed by Snowblind Studios. The two-player action-RPG puts you in control of the world's greatest heroes (and Aquaman) to combat some of the deadliest foes in comics' history.

Your initial team consists of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern, the Martian Manhunter and Zatanna. However, there are a number of unlockable characters. So far, WBIE has revealed three of the classic members: Aquaman, Green Arrow and Hawkgirl. The unlockables are purchased from points earned by kicking ass throughout the game.

Along with new characters, players can purchase new costumes for the original seven Justice League members. There are two alternate costumes per character (with Superman getting three). These aren't your standard quick skins found in most games. Snowblind remodeled each character with their new costume and added some new animations as well. There are also some bonuses applied to specific costumes, including extra health, energy and even experience bonuses.

Having seen these costumed characters in action, we can assure you that the models look different than the originals. Batman's Infiltrator costume (from Batman Beyond) is surprisingly menacing.

Over the next two days, IGN will reveal all of the unlockable costumes. That's right, every single one. If you don't feel like purchasing these with points earned through gameplay, there are cheat codes to unlock them all. But we'll save that for another day..
