Cooking Mama Sates Retailers' Hunger

The culinary adventure is on its way to stores nationwide.

Majesco announced today that Cooking Mama has shipped for the Nintendo DS. Developed by Taito and rated "E" for Everyone, Cooking Mama offers gamers a unique take on the oft-overlooked cooking simulator genre.

Cooking Mama has players assume the role of an up-and-coming chef striving to earn his boss's approval in the kitchen. To do this players must make use of the DS's touch screen to chop, slice, grate, peel, fry, and knead their way to culinary glory. Cooking Mama includes more than 200 touch screen mini-games which span 76 actual recipes. Of course, players can share their own succulent recipes via the DS's wireless system link capabilities.

Cooking Mama for the Nintendo DS is currently available for a suggested retail price of $19.99.
