Mario's Million

The DS New Super Mario Bros. joins the Brainy bunch by breaking the million barrier.

Along with the announcement of the Coral Pink and Onyx systems coming to the USA on September 13th, Nintendo of America also revealed that New Super Mario Bros. has blown past the million-seller mark in the US after 12 weeks on sale.

The game, which reviewed highly on IGN and received the Editor's Choice award, joins the other million-selling games: Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day (4 million units sold worldwide) and Big Brain Academy (nearly 2 million sold worldwide). Animal Crossing Wild World is set to hit the mark yet, currently at 800,000 units sold and rising.

New Super Mario Bros. is currently the Nintendo DS system's fastest selling game in the US.
