Ubisoft's Angels Blaze to PS3

The Squadrons of WWII gear up for system launch.

Just a few weeks after the revelation that the Xbox 360 warplane game, Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII, would be headed to Nintendo's Wii as a launch title, Ubisoft has confirmed today that it will also be ready for the PlayStation 3's kick-off.

Developed by Ubi's Romanian studio, Blazing Angels is a squad-based flight-actioner that recreates World War II's most famous battles including the Battle of Britain, Pearl Harbor, the Battle for Midway, and the Battle for Berlin. Of course, since the game has already been released for the Xbox 360 and PC, the PlayStation 3 version of Blazing Angels will include all-new missions, a 16-person multiplayer mode, and a use for the PS3's tilt function.

Blazing Angels: Squadrons of World War II will hit PlayStation 3s simultaneously in both Europe and North America.
