Mortal Kombat: Armageddon Premium Kontent

Fatality fans can get their mitts on some extras when the game releases on PS2.

Hot on the heels of yesterday's announcement that Mortal Kombat: Armageddon would make its way to the Wii early next year, Midway announced today that four snazzy, limited editions will be available for the PS2 version when it releases this October. The premium copies will feature four unique, metallic covers and are jam-packed with bonus goodies.

Three of the four limited edition covers will highlight some of the franchise's most famous duos: Sindel & Shao Kahn, Johnny Cage & Goro, and Kano & Sonya. The fourth will feature the general Mortal Kombat: Armageddon box art on metallic packaging.

Along with the sharp box art, the premium editions will ship with an arcade-perfect port of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Midway is also cramming a bonus dvd in the package with over 60 minutes of character videos and a "History of Fatalities" movie. Topping the bonus content off will be an animation cell autographed by franchise co-creator, Ed Boon.

Mortal Kombat: Armageddon is currently scheduled to ship October 9.
