Chromehounds Demo Readied

But for which regions?

Major Nelson, Microsoft's herald of all things on the Web, today revealed that a demo of From Software's and SEGA's Chromehounds is prepped for download on Xbox Live Marketplace. The only catch is the demo is only for all regions other than the US and Canada.

Major Nelson, one of the most active community writers on the Microsoft's Xbox.com Website explained in generic terms here why games on marketplace are, and this is not a quote, such a hassle to publish. "Hassle" is our word.

Apparently, thanks to the delayed Xbox 360 Prey demo and an inordinate amount of complaining by eager gamers ready to get that demo (which is freely available on the PC), Nelson has been hammered with questions, bitter, vile emails, and death threats, not to mention terrorist threats. As usual, Nelson has handled the emails with casual diplomacy and Internet savvy. No wonder he is still alive.

Anyway, if you live in Japan, Europe or Australia, we guess you'll be able to get your Chromehounds on right now! Americans and Canadians will just have to wait.
