Nintendo revealed just a few days ago that it will be publishing a Nintendo DS version of the Nintendo 64 racing game Diddy Kong Racing. Publisher Rare wasted no time stepping up to the microphone to reveal that, yes, Rare is the development team bringing it to the dual-screen handheld. This was posted to the company's webpage this week:
A few tantalising DKR DS info-bites to keep you going: eight-player single-card and multi-card WiFi play, touch-screen and microphone compatibility, some familiar faces in newly playable form, remodelled and retextured tracks, customisable vehicles, new modes, weapons and challenges, a little something called TT's Wish Races where you can create your very own tracks... and it doesn't end there.
The game isn't playable at E3, and the only thing we have to go on is a single screenshot and a ten second video, both of which are available by clicking the link below. We'll keep on the game as it progresses through its development cycle.
