E3 2006: Join the Clubhouse

Nintendo reveals a new collection of games for the Nintendo DS.

Nintendo's set to appeal to the casual gamer with a series of pick-up-and-play parlor games for the Nintendo DS titled Clubhouse Games, revealed today at the Nintendo press conference.

There will be more than 20 classic board, card and party games to play, either alone or with friends, including checkers, darts, poker, bowling, backgammon, bridge and billiards, each with a custom rules section. Players can challenge up to seven friends with one game card via Multi-Card Play or DS Download Play. The package will support as many as eight players in some games, offering both Single Card Download Play and multi-card play.

Clubhouse Games will join Sudoku Gridmaster in Nintendo's newly-established Touch Generations line. We'll have more on this game as the Electronic Entertainment Expo continues this week.
