Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires Complete

KOEI announced today that Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires is now gold -- i.e., code-complete -- for both PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360. The strategy-heavy take on Dynasty Warriors 5 is scheduled to reach stores March 28.

Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires adds strategic gameplay to the original Dynasty Warriors 5, challenging players to conquer 25 regions of Ancient China and build an overarching empire. Players can issue orders directly to officers -- or signal general commands to officers in the field -- having armies take the offensive, stand ground, or form an ambush. Empires lets players choose officers for an attack force, recruit captives, and dismiss officers from the kingdom. The game adds 25 new policies for greater control over Government, Product Development, Diplomacy and Battle Tactics.

Other features include four unlockable scenarios, two-player co-op play in "Empire" and "Free" modes, new items to unlock, and control of more than 200 officers. The game even includes a history of Ancient China.
