Tekken Fights on North American PSPs

The Dark Resurrection will happen Stateside this summer.

North American Tekken fans may have worried that the series big PSP debut would be limited to Japan. These days, plane tickets are pricey and Pocky only feeds a man for so long. Good thing, then, that Namco Bandai announced today that Tekken: Dark Resurrection will arrive in North America this summer.

Dark Resurrection is based on the arcade expansion to Tekken 5. The game features more than 30 characters, including Dragonuv and Lili, the two new characters that were added for the Dark Resurrection arcade update. Also making the trip over from the arcade are new stages, themselves based off the original Tekken 5 stages, but with climate and time effects as well as new background objects.

The PSP version will offer new game modes including time attack, practice, and mini games; more customization items; and support for multiplayer bouts via Ad-Hoc wireless connections.

If you haven't yet, be sure to check out the massive number of Dark Resurrection screens just added.
