Battle for Middle-earth II Finds Gold

Electronic Arts today announced that Lord of the Rings The Battle for Middle Earth II is officially gold: the RTS sequel is code-complete and will enter manufacturing for its March 2 ship date.

Developed by EA Los Angeles, Battle for Middle-earth II offers another serving of real-time strategy set in the world of Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. Now drawing from both Tolkien's original fiction and Peter Jackson's film adaptations, the strategy sequel explores new ground, such as letting players control Elven and Dwarven armies, as well as command creatures not seen in the films.
