The Prince of Persia Takes His Thrones

Ubisoft sends the latest scimitar-swinging adventure to stores.

How well do you swing in loose beige linen? Ubisoft is offering another chance to find out, as the company today ships Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones for PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox, and PC.

In The Two Thrones, the Prince of Persia, now a seasoned warrior, returns from the Island of Time with his love, Kaileena. Instead of the peace that he longs for, he finds his homeland ravaged by war and the kingdom turned against him. The Prince is captured and Kaileena has no choice but to sacrifice herself and unleash the Sands of Time in order to save him. Now cast out on the streets and hunted as a fugitive, the Prince soon discovers that past battles have given rise to a deadly Dark Prince, whose spirit gradually possesses him.

Ubisoft's latest Prince adventure is the third in the series' modern revival, which began with Prince of Persia: Sands of Time in 2003, followed by 2004's Prince of Persia: Warrior Within.
