Portable Monster Hunting

Capcom brings Monster Hunter to the PSP.

Capcom today announced Monster Hunter Freedom for the PlayStation Portable, bringing the beast-slaying, weapon-building, food-cooking franchise to the portable platform.

Monster Hunter Freedom builds on Monster Hunter and Monster Hunter G, adding new missions, features, and other content. The village hub is enhanced with an expanded item shop, house area, and farm. Missions are now optimized for solo play, and a new Felyne Kitchen has cats cooking up skill-enhancing food for your hunts.

Along with single player campaigns, the new title will offer multiplayer missions for up to four players via ad hoc mode. Monster Hunter Freedom also includes a new "treasure hunters" co-op game.

Monster Hunter Freedom is currently scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2006. We'll be back with more as new details come in.
