True Crime: New York City Begins

Cleaning things up, from Harlem to Chinatown.

Activision today announced the arrival of True Crime: New York City, the follow-up to 2003's True Crime: Streets of L.A. The new title is now available for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube.

In True Crime: New York City, players assume the role of Marcus Reed, a former criminal turned cop, and use and abuse their authority to hunt down the murderer of Marcus' mentor while also cleaning up Manhattan neighborhoods from Harlem to Chinatown. Undercover investigations weave players through a murderous web of gangs and deceit as they battle crooks, Marcus' past and everything else the city throws at them.

"True Crime: New York City is the first game to deliver the ultimate urban drama set against a realistic version of Manhattan," said Activision's Will Kassoy. "The game's deep and diverse gameplay takes players into the city's neighborhoods, buildings and subways and lets them virtually experience the city in a way that has never been possible in a videogame."
